Kainath & Rishad came to us a few months ago for their maternity shoot & for the first time a live birth shoot. I was really nervous with doing the live birth documentation... but here it is.

Kainath is so graceful and effortlessly beautiful that we decided to do a soft natural shoot on the beach at the golden hour. And i love the images we made...

Her poses came naturally, as did her laughter.

They had a scheduled C-section, I was excited as well as nervous since I'm an emotional person, so much so that I always end up tearing along with the bride during the Vidaai so i did not know what to expect with this documentation. 

The delivery went perfectly, except for a couple of minutes after the baby was born and we could not hear him cry, I stopped shooting out of respect for the parents and the tensed situation, but in retrospect I wish I had continued shooting to capture the raw emotions on their faces.

Shoots like these make me realize how lucky i am to be doing the work that i am doing, and to be able to capture such special moments for people around us who are as beautiful as these moments.

Kainath & Rishad have been blessed with a baby boy, Aayan!
